In line with the procedure for obtaining the Business Friendly Environment Certificate in South East Europe (BFC SEE), DevCon representative Mišel Pavlica was engaged as the lead verifier during the verification visits to the Municipality of Novi Grad on June 18, the Municipality of Brod on August 7, and the City of Prijedor on September 12, 2025.
During the verification visits, the meetings were held with representatives of the local business community, the municipal administration, and public utility companies.
The verification process confirmed that municipalites of Novi Grad and Brod and the City of Prijedor meet the certification criteria in accordance with the Fourth Edition of the BFC SEE standard to be certified as local governments with a favorable business environment. The verification committee issued several recommendations aimed at ensuring continuity and improving the implementation of the standard and proposed to regional certification body to award BFC SEE certificates to the three local communities.
DevCon congratulates the representatives of the two municipalities and the City of Prijedor on their efforts and hope that certification will yield the expected benefits in terms of enhancing current economic activities, attracting new investments, and improving the quality of life for all citizens.
